About Truth
There are many things I do not know,
says the young man, and
sees how the dark comes out with stars.
There are some things that I know,
says the older man, having witnessed
how a storm can block out the sun.
But when a public man says
about his war
that there are
known knowns
known unknowns
and unknown unknowns,
a few of us remember
what Socrates said, about how
it takes an honest man to know
that he does not know.
